Chaty Assistant is an Android conversation companion for translated phone calls and direct Nearby Translation between two Android phones.
Nearby Translation lets two people with Chaty Assistant connect their Android phones directly, choose their languages, and speak with two-way translation while they are together.
After compatible language, speech, and voice resources are downloaded, a Nearby session connects directly over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi. It does not place a paid Chaty call or use your call wallet. Internet may be needed first to download or update language resources.
Nearby offline speech depends on the phone, Android version, Google speech services, and installed language resources. The app shows which languages are ready on that device. Android 13 or newer is recommended for reliable offline speech-model checks.
No. Chaty Assistant provides translated Chaty calls. It is not a replacement for your mobile service or emergency calling.
Not necessarily. If the recipient is not registered, they speak and hear English. Registered recipients use their selected supported language. You speak and hear your own selected supported language.
